On the Road:
Executive Briefing for New and Small Law Firms.

Last week, we partnered with The Law Society of Singapore for an executive briefing on what law firms should invest in before jumping into AI and automation.

The team walked through the foundational tech decisions that either support growth or create long-term friction, based on real implementation experience.

Key takeaways:

  • Firms need to get core systems right before adding AI and automation

  • Don't underestimate matter tracking, time recording, and data migration capabilities

  • ROI must be evaluated based on your actual workflow and growth plans, not vendor promises

Event Recap:
Evening of Drinks and Nibbles with R&C Enthusiasts!

Last December, our Risk and Compliance Team Leader, Claire Pedley, partnered with Spinika to gather compliance, risk, and operations professionals across Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane for something we all desperately needed: a conversation without an agenda.

No presentations. No policy briefings. No acronyms (well, maybe a few). Just drinks, honest talk, and the kind of decompression that only comes from being around people who truly understand what the past year has demanded of us.

A huge thank you to our sponsors: Legl for the Melbourne and Brisbane events, and APLYiD for the Sydney event, for supporting the evening and helping bring the community together.

Partner Spotlight:
Recover Lost Revenue with MiTimes

As the year wraps up, one trend keeps coming up in our conversations with firms globally:

The gap between the work lawyers do, and the work that actually appears on the timesheet.

That’s why we’ve released a whitepaper focused on the financial and operational impact of incomplete time capture and how modern automation is helping firms recover visibility and revenue in 2026.

The whitepaper dives into:

  • Hidden revenue leaks in daily workflows

  • How inconsistent time entries drive write-offs and weaken billing defensibility

  • Why utilisation metrics lose accuracy without proper capture

  • Practical automated approaches that remove reliance on manual reconstruction
